IMPORTANT CANDLE CARE
ALWAYS TRIM YOUR WICK.
Before you light a candle, always trim the wick to ¼ inch and remove any debris left in the wax pool such as wick trimmings or matches. Any debris will add more fuel to the candle than it’s designed to handle. Too much fuel can cause the flame to unexpectedly flare up or even start a small fire near the candle flame. Wicks that are left long or crooked can cause uneven burning, dripping, flaring, and soot. Trimming wicks will help prolong the life of your candle.
THE FIRST BURN
If a candle is not burned for long enough to allow the wax to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring.” Once a candle has a “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel for the life of the candle. So please burn your candle to a full melt pool on the first burn.
WHY IS MY CANDLE DISCOLORED?
Natural ingredients can always impact the eventual color of your candles. Because fragrance oils often include ingredients like vanillin, citrus oils, and cinnamon that vary from batch to batch, you might find your candles discoloring over time. There’s nothing wrong with the fragrance oil or the candle it’s just a common variable when using natural ingredients.
All our candles are made using natural ingredients and contain no ultraviolet stabilizers. In bright sunlight or under fluorescent lights they can turn yellow or have the natural color of the wax fade. This does not change the scent or degrade the candle in any way.
-Never leave candles unattended
-Never play with the wax or try to move the wax around. This can make the wax uneven and promote uneven burning.
-Never forget to your wick! Untrimmed wicks lead to popping, smoking, and soot.
-Never burn in a small unventilated room.
-Never leave a candle burning when you go to sleep.
